BEING HUMAN

Geeta Devi Singh has invited me to put on an exhibition in her lovely space, Inlakesh;- BEING HUMAN ;-a selection of oil portraits showing faces of people from a variety of ethnic backgrounds.

We are all part of the GLOBAL FAMILY, all members of this rich and diverse human race, and despite our differences in culture, customs, religion and politics, attitudes and circumstances, we share many more similarities than we do differences, all of which contribute to making us HUMAN.

I have been fortunate enough, throughout my life to work with many people from all over the world, as a theatre practictioner, as a performer, as a director, as a teacher, as a facilitator, as a vocal coach, and have always been fascinated more by the many aspects that unite us than by those that divide us.

My interest in people has spilled over into my work as a portrait artist. Portraits are what I choose to paint more than other genres, though i do also work on animal portraits, flower studies, landscapes, seascapes, and abstracts.

I feel honoured to be have been given this opportunity at INLAKECH in the centre of BERN, to be able to show some of my work.
